{"id":1675,"date":"2026-09-07T15:15:05","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T13:15:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/punturs.ch\/?post_type=case_study&#038;p=1675"},"modified":"2026-09-07T15:15:05","modified_gmt":"2026-09-07T13:15:05","slug":"dadada-the-new-age-of-absurdity","status":"publish","type":"case_study","link":"https:\/\/punturs.ch\/en\/case_study\/dadada-the-new-age-of-absurdity\/","title":{"rendered":"dADAda \u2013 The New Age of Absurdity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"auto\">As part of the international Dada revival exhibition and performance <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1InAMTkPZlkWRBjnysnfzO6qeDRBOkIH1\/view?usp=drive_web\"><strong>dADAda \u2013 The New Age of Absurdity<\/strong><\/a><\/span> (24 January to 14 February 2026, El Convento, Gauc\u00edn, Spain), the family (represented by Zeno Hammer) was actively involved.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Dada \u2014 which emerged in Zurich in 1916 as an anti-war, anti-logical movement of absurdity \u2014 was updated here for the 21st century: as a revolt against algorithmic control, digital overload, authoritarian logic, memes, AI-generated content, and unwanted advertising.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Zeno Hammer\u2019s central contribution<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>Participation in <strong>\u201cThe Nine Commandments\u201d<\/strong> (Die Neun Gebote \/ Los 9 Mandamientos), a multidisciplinary piece by Swiss artist Raffaela Zenoni.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Leading role<\/strong>: reading and interpreting the Nine Commandments in <strong>several languages<\/strong> (including German, Spanish, English, Dutch, French, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan, Basque, Romansh, Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic, Finnish, Czech, Irish, Low German, Latin, Croatian, Hungarian, and Danish).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Artistic integration<\/strong>: the commandments (e.g. \u201cTalk to one another in soap bubbles,\u201d \u201cTurn everything upside down,\u201d \u201cSee through walls with the penguin\u201d) were recited and interpreted by Zeno in multiple languages, combined with dance\/movement by the young performer Maria Morales (using nine painted panels).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\">This was not merely a side project: it reflects the firm\u2019s own stance \u2014 a rejection of rigid \u201clogic as finished truth,\u201d and an appreciation of irrationality, creativity, and intercultural dialogue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the international Dada revival exhibition and performance dADAda \u2013 The New Age of Absurdity (24 January to 14 February 2026, El Convento, Gauc\u00edn, Spain), the family (represented by Zeno Hammer) was actively involved.
